The problem
The existing theme took over six seconds to become interactive on mobile, and roughly a third of carts were abandoned at checkout.
The solution
Rebuilt the front end on Next.js against the Shopify Storefront API, with image optimisation, edge caching and a three-step checkout redesign.
The result
Time-to-interactive fell to 1.2 seconds and checkout completion rose 23% within the first two months.
